One of Eau Vivre’s new and exciting releases of 2013. The location of this vineyard is a stone’s throw from the winery. Nestled alongside a westernly sloped ridge, which provides excellent sun exposure for slow and even ripening. Sustainable Viticulture practices are employed with regulated deficit irrigation (RDI) at stress tolerant periods; promote rich intense flavors and aromas while maintaining the grapes natural high acidity.

Early morning hand harvested to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The Riesling grapes are whole cluster pressed, the juice transferred to a stainless steel tank and allowed to settle overnight before being inoculated. Fermented slowly at a cool temperature to help retain its appealing fruit characters and true varietal expression. Extended lees contact for three months adds richness and complexity to this unique wine. Enjoy!

Vineyard:Glotz Vineyard Cawston BC. Clone 21B and 239. First crop from this one cluster per shoot spur pruned vineyard. Sustainable Viticulture practices with extreme attention to detail make this one of finest vineyards in the Similkameen Valley.

Winemaking:Hand harvested on October 3. Whole cluster pressed and settled overnight. Fermented in stainless where it began a long cool ferment lasting four weeks. Lees contact for 12 weeks adds richness and complexity to this classis style Riesling
