Ron Wilson reviews our 2013 Pinot Noir

2015 Jun 30th

Eau Vivre Winery Pinot Noir B.C.

One of the great pleasures of wine is the beautiful aroma of a well made wine. Frankly I think you’re missing out if you don’t take a moment to enjoy what’s emitting from the glass. Eau Vivre pinot noir smells like cherries and should be enjoyed to the fullest. The taste of dark berries with a hint of spice gives way to a long smooth finish. But, only if you give this wine time in a decanter. Otherwise I fear both the aroma and taste will be a shadow of what’s in the bottle. Pinot Noir is one of my favorite food wines and I really enjoyed pairing the Eau Vivre with a Caprese salad. Grilled salmon would also be a good match.
